Anisiya Kazliuk, human rights defender, was reportedly arrested in Kyiv when leaving the train because her residence permit in Ukraine was expired. The police were called by the train conductor. The activist was taken to the police station, where she was explained that she had been detained for allegedly staying in Ukraine illegally. However, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry previously stated that the validity of all documents is automatically extended under martial law. Anisiya faces a fine and forcible expulsion from Ukraine.

Anisiya Kazliuk previously worked at the Viasna human rights center and was forced to leave Belarus after a crackdown on civil society started after the rigged presidential election of 2020.

In 2018, 21-year-old Anisiya was included in Forbes' list of Europe's most promising people under 30 in the Law and Politics category.
