Nasta Loika remains in custody after her previous detention time is over
Nasta Loika was to be released on December 14. However, it never happened. Apparently, she was re-detained and placed in custody for the fourth time in a row.
The political prisoner was detained on 28 October and then sentenced to administrative detention three times. At one of the trials, the human rights defender said she had been tortured. GUBOPiK officer hit her with a stun gun, and another officer in the Offender Isolation Centre took her out into the courtyard and left her without clothes for eight hours, according to Loika.
On December 14, as before, Loika was convicted under Article 19.1 of the Administrative Code of “disorderly Conduct”. She has been sentenced to 15 days of arrest four times in a row and will spend at least 60 days behind bars.
