In December 2022, the Frunzensky District Court of Minsk announced the verdict to Yuryi Hladchuk, the editor of special projects of a car portal Avtobusiness, sentencing him to two and a half years in prison. The political prisoner was found guilty under Article 342 (active participation in actions that grossly violate public order) and Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka) of the Criminal Code. Now Yuryi is waiting for the consideration of his appeal at Volodarka prison. The journalist has been held in custody for more than eight months.

Political prisoners Yuryi Hladchuk and Yuliya Mudreuskaya, the editors of a car portal Avtobusiness, were detained on June 16, 2022 after searches. Later they were transferred to the pre-trial detention center No. 1 as part of the criminal case.

In September, Mudreuskaya was found guilty of participating in protest actions in 2020 and sentenced to a year and a half in a penal colony. The woman has already started serving her sentence in the Homel women's colony No. 4.

In early December, the Frunzensky District Court of Minsk began considering the criminal case against Yuryi. He was charged under Article 342 (active participation in actions that grossly violate public order) and Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka) of the Criminal Code. As it became known to Novy Chas, Hladchuk was sentenced to two and a half years in prison. On February 28, the Minsk City Court will consider the appeal of the political prisoner.
