On September 28, a 53-year-old Naftan employee Illia Dvoiryn was sentenced in the Navapolatsk City Court for pouring paint over a car with Crimean license plates and the letter Z on July 1, 2023. The man was charged under Part 1 of Article 339 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism).

The trial was conducted by judge Vital Lapko

Illia Dvoiryn was detained on July 4 along with his son Dzmitryi and daughter-in-law Viktoryia, as well as other relatives. A search was conducted at the place of his residence. Later, Dvoiryn was placed in the Vitsebsk temporary detention facility.

An administrative report was first drawn up on Illia, and on July 11, the judge of the city of Navapolatsk, Zinaida Balabolava, arrested him for 15 days. According to the report, on the morning of May 16, at a bus stop, a man pasted leaflets with the image of Russian president Vladimir Putin and a text on political topics. After that, a criminal case was opened against Dvoiryn for hooliganism.

On September 27, the prosecution requested to punish Dvoiryn with imprisonment for a period of one year on probation. This is exactly the verdict that judge Vital Lapko handed down.

Illia was released from custody in the courtroom.
