On October 2, 2023, 62-year-old Ala Zuyeva was tried in the Babrujsk and Babrujsk Region District Court. She was found guilty under Article 369 (insulting a representative of the authorities) and Part 1 of Article 368 (insulting Lukashenka) and sentenced to two and a half years in a general security penal colony.

She must also pay a fine of 1,850 rubles and two thousand rubles of compensation for moral damage to two victims. Ala has blood cancer.

The verdict was announced by judge Pavel Kartsinin.

She was accused of leaving comments on Telegram from October 2020 to September 2022. They allegedly contained insults to Lukashenka and police officers and "profanity and expressed a negative attitude towards the authorities."

Zuyeva pleaded guilty. According to article 368 of the Criminal Code, she was sentenced to two years in prison and according to article 369 of the Criminal Code to two years of restriction of liberty (home confinement), as well as a fine of 1850 rubles. The final punishment is imposed by partial addition of the main punishments, as well as the addition of supplementary punishment.
