Former distinguished graduate of BSU sentenced to 5 years in penal colony for donations
On February 16, the Minsk City Court sentenced Kseniya Khodyrava, a 27-year-old political prisoner. She was convicted of donating money under two articles of the Criminal Code: Article 361-2 (financing of an extremist formation) and Part 2 of Article 361-3 (financing participation in an armed formation or armed conflict, military operations on the territory of a foreign state). Three hearings were held on the case, but the details are unknown. As a result, judge Sviatlana Makarevich sentenced the political prisoner to five years in a general security penal colony.
Kseniya was detained on October 10, 2023 for donations. Detention was chosen as a preventive measure. The woman was held in the KGB pre-trial detention centerfor several months, and then she was transferred to pre-trial detention center No. 1.
It is known that Kseniya graduated from the Department of Cultural Studies of Belarusian State University. She also received the Best Graduate of BSU-2018 Award. Kseniya plays football and studies dancing. She was a fan of Krumkachy football club and a member of KrumkaCheeks, a women's amateur football team.
At the same time, she studied in the Confucius class (now the Confucius Institute), an institution where Chinese language and culture are studied.
