November Plans of Bielarusian Opposition

In Miensk there has been established an organizational committee for holding of the mass opposition action under the slogan “Bielarus, Democracy, Welfare”. The organizational committee includes representatives of the majority of the oppositional parties, members of “Young Front” Youth Christian-democratic Union and Charter-97. The only party, whose members weren’t present at the committee sitting was Mikola Statkievich’s BSDP “Narodnaia Hramada”. Statkievich says that he party hasn’t received any invitations there.

All participants of the sitting agreed that this autumn opposition is to hold only one, but large joint street action under the slogans, appealing to different social strata. The action holders are going to carry out the action in the center of Minsk even if they don’t receive permission from the authorities.
