New criminal case initiated against political prisoner Mikola Dziadok
Political prisoner Mikola Dziadok, sentenced to five years in a penal colony, was supposed to be released on April 25, 2025, but a new criminal case was initiated against him under Part 1 of Article 411 of the Criminal Code (malicious disobedience to the prison administration). Now he faces up to one year in penal colony. Sources told Novy Chas about this.
In June, Mikola Dziadok and many other political prisoners of Hrodna prison No. 1 were sent to a punitive isolation cell (SHIZO). Mikola was released from there only in September. In addition, the political prisoner has been held in solitary confinement for more than a year. Behind bars, he continues his self-education, studies foreign languages, and orders books. Dziadok has health problems: stomach aches and headaches.
Recall that Mikola was detained on November 11, 2020, and afterwards severely beaten and tortured. He was sentenced to five years of imprisonment. Later, the political prisoner's punishment was increased and he was transferred to a prison security level. In detention, he is under pressure all the time.
