The administration of the system RED.BY removed the web-site of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals APAGAY (www.apagay.com) from the banner exchange system. System administrator Vital Hermanovich informed APAGAY about cancellation of its participation in the letter. According to Vital Hermanovich, “commercial accounts appeared in the system, more and more advertisers are ready to pay for quality services, however, not many of them are satisfied with the presence of erotic web-sites in the system”. In the same letter Vital Hermanovich writes, that RED.BY administration has no claims against APAGAY web-site.
Interestingly enough, every participant of RED.BY system has an opportunity to choose thematic categories and “turn off” unwanted banners.
The APAGAY administration is convinced, the RED.BY position is grounded only on the fact, that APAGAY is a web-site for gays and lesbians. In conjunction to that it’s worth talking about discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.
