Now Mikola Markevich will work in Verasen shipping agency, dealing with freight forwarding all over Belarus. According to Mikola Markevich, this job will allow him to “fully continue his work of a journalist and public activities”.
Let us remind you that on 4 March Asipovichy district court changed Markevich’s sentence to correctional labor on the place of his residence, with 15% deducted from his salary in favor of the state. On 24 June 2002 Leninski borough court of Hrodna sentenced The Pahonia editor-in-chief to 2,5 years of forced labor in correctional facility in Asipovichy.
