“Amnesty International” Demands to Free Bandazhewski
Canada’s section of Amnesty International has filed several thousands of letters to Aliaksandr Lukashenka with the demand to release from jail the former rector of Homel Medical University, Yury Bandazhewski. Belarusian authorities found him guilty in bribery. Yury Bandazhewski dealt with research of the influence of Chernobyl accident on the human health and criticized the State Chernobyl program. The Cannada’s section also maintains contacts with Bandazhewski’s wife.
Dutch group of “Amnesty International” is gathering petitions in connection with disappearances of well-known public and political activists in Belarus. They even invited the wives of A. Krasowski and Z. Zavadski to the football match Holland-Belarus.
The answers to all these letters and petitions are official come-offs.
