On 8 September Minsk Tsentralny Borough Court sentenced Siarhey Vysotski, Head of the unregistered Belarusian Freedom Party, to 10 days of jail in the detention center in Akrestsin Street. In jail S. Vysotski has gone on hunger strike to protest against the court decision which he considers illegal. On 9 September Vysotski’s relatives brought him a food parcel, but the guards didn’t took even mineral water, only warm things. They informed the relatives that the prisoner was on hunger strike.
