Homel Police Interferes with Meeting of Journalists
On 12 September in Homel, in Berastseyskaya Street 6, where a meeting of journalists from independent editions with the youth who paid interest to work in the mass media was taking place. Three police officers tried to interfere with the dialogue.
Henadz Yunchyts, the police inspector, explained that the police had received an anonymous call about preparation of a terrorist action in Berastseyskaya Street 6. He tried to put down the personal information of all present people but couldn’t explain the need for such action. In 20 minutes after their bursting in, the policemen left the building and the journalists continued the seminar that familiarized the youth with the state of the mass media in Belarus.
