“Belaruskaya Maladziozhnaya”, “Nasha Svaboda”, “Holas Pruzhanaw” and “Rabochy” Are No More
According to the information of “Belarusian Association of Journalists”, on 7 October Uladzimir Rusakevich, Minister of Information of Belarus, signed order No. 163 “About invalid registration certificates of mass media”. Such newspapers as “Belaruskaya Maladziozhnaya”, “Nasha Svaboda”, “Holas Pruzhanaw” and “Rabochy” are mentioned in it.
The order states that if an edition is not issued for more than a year, it must undergo re-registration. Taking into consideration the fact that the founders haven’t applied for the re-registration after a year’s break, their certificates become invalid.
The order also mentions less known newspapers: “Kupliu-prodam”, “Zhivotnovodstvo Belarusi”, “Zabota I Liubov”, “Sapfo”, etc.
Viktar Huretski, Head of the registration department at the Ministry of Information, says that by its order the ministry doesn’t “revoke” the registration, but only states the fact of its loss. The order will be directed to the editorial staffs of the editions, to the distribution nets “Belposhta” and “Belsayuzdruk” and to the taxation bodies.
