Barysaw Police Detains Three ZUBR Activists
At about 5 p.m. on 29 January activists of the unregistered youth organization ZUBR handed out the informational bulletin of the HRC “Viasna” “Right to Freedom” in the central square of the city of Barysaw. According to the press service of ZUBR, the youngsters were detained by a group of people in plain clothes with the vice-head of Barysaw police Uladzimir Padabed when they had several dozens of the newspaper left. The detainees Aliaksandr Kazakow, Aliaksandr Peralyhin and Pavel Paddubny were taken to Barysaw City Board of Internal Affairs. There the policemen drew the reports where charged the detainees with violation of Article 172 of the Code of Administrative Violations of the Republic of Belarus and in two hours released them.
