At about 11 a.m. on 19 February Aksana Novikava was detained in front of the building of the Presidential Administration while handing to officers the appeal of citizens who protest against the illegal demolition of their private houses.
Aksana Novikava was taken to Minsk Police Department of Leninski Borough #1. The police composed a report for violation of article 172 of the Code of Administrative Violations (distribution of printed materials, issued with violation of the established order, containing no issue data or damaging state and public order, rights and legal interests of citizens”. Then Aksana Novikava was let go. Now she can expect a warning or 5 minimal wages fine.
