Information Ministry Addresses BelTA concerning New Order for Publication of TV-program
In his answer to the request of the PA “Belarusian Association of Journalist” (“BAJ”) concerning the new order and conditions for publication of the TV-program the vice-Minister of information Siarhey Bulatski said that the ministry hadn’t received any answer yet.
It’s worth mentioning that on 23 February the “BAJ” filed the official inquiries to the Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus, the Ministry of Economics and the Ministry of Information about the situation with distribution of the TV program of Belarusian channels, asking the abovementioned bodies about the measures they would take not to allow violations of Belarusian anti-monopoly legislation and the legislation in the field of cost-forming.
On 10 February BAJ received the answer from the Prosecutor’s Office of Belarus. Head of the Board of the Prosecutor’s Office I. Padamatska informed BAJ that he readdressed its application to the Department of anti-monopoly and cost politics of the Ministry of Economics and asked it to inform the author of the application, vice-head of BAJ Andrey Bastunets about the results of investigation. However, this body still hasn’t answered.
At present BelTA sells the TV-program to different newspapers for different costs, from 100 thousand to 5 million rubles.
