On March 2 Pershamaiski borough court of Minsk ruled to drop charges against Anatol Shumchanka. Shumchanka heads the Perspektyva NGO, the union of private entrepreneurs who are fighting for their rights. The judge did not find corpus delicti in Shumchanka’s actions. Shumchanka was charged under Art 167.1-1 part 2 of the Code of Administrative Violations (violation of order of carrying out mass actions) for organization of the unauthorized meeting, which allegedly took place on February 24 on Uruchcha-3 market. Alexander Haliyew was Shumchanka’s attorney in court.
