Police Detain Young People with Leaflets against Third Term for Lukashenka
In the evening of September 8 Zhodzina police detained a high school student with leaflets against the third presidential term for Lukashenka. Prosecutor V. Litvinenka decided that Young Front member Yawhen Valkavets had violated Art 45 part 8 of the Election Code because the leaflets lacked the imprint. Valkavets was charged with violation of Art 163-3 of the Code of Administrative Offences (violation of the election legislation). Soon Zhodzina court will hear the case.
On September 23 at about 6 p.m. under age Alexander Razhalowski was detained in Brest. The police detained him for spreading “Say “No” to Lukashenka” leaflets and took him to Maskowski police department. Three experts of criminal investigation department and representative of juvenile delinquency commission senior lieutenant Natalla Kadzenskaya dealt with his case. Police deputy chief Vital U. Bazylevich ordered to report violation under Art 172-3 of the Code of Administrative Offences (distribution of printed materials without imprint aimed at damaging the state and public system, and rights and legal interests of citizens). The case is sent to juvenile delinquency commission for consideration.
