Ministry of Justice Finds Exclusion of Mikalay Statkevich from Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Narodnaya Hramada” Legal
On 6 January 2005 the Ministry of Justice filed to Belarusian Social Democratic Party “Narodnaya Hramada” a letter “Concerning the exclusion of M. Statkevich, U. Nistsiuk, U. Malashka and Yu. Markowski”. The letter was signed by the justice minister V. Halavanaw.
In the letter it is stated that the Ministry of Justice had received materials concerning exclusion from BSDP “NH” its head M. Statkevich, the first vice-head U. Nistsiuk, the vice-head U. Malashka and the member of the central board of the party Yu, Markowski and checked the legality of exclusion of these members. During the check-up it was found that the decision of Minsk City Committee of BSDP “NH” of 8 December 2004 to exclude from the party U. Nistsiuk, V. Malashka and Yu. Markowski was illegal. What concerns the decision of Minsk City Committee of BSDP, dated 11 December and related to exclusion of Mikalay Statkevich, the ministry recognized it as legal.
