Distribution of Periodicals in Brest to be Controlled in a Stricter Way

The last session of the Brest Region Execitive Committee raised this issue, when discussing the draft regulation “On the system of providing citizens with information, and on measures of bringing order into the retail network that distributes the periodicals on the territory of the city”, reports the BAJ press-service.

According to Zoia Iliushonak, Head of the Ideology Department of the City Executive Committee, “not all legal entities that trade in periodicals maintain a certain choice of assortment”. In particular, this concerns the sale of state-owned media. In case the requirements are ignored, the City Executive Committee will be offered to deprive the related individual businessmen of permission to sell periodicals.
