UCP activist Maryna Bahdanovich had her property confiscated

On 27 May court marshals confiscated the property that belonged to the United Civil Party activist Maryna Bahdanovich. Tsentralny Borough Court of Minsk imposed on her a fine of 200 basic units (around two and a half thousand dollars) for taking part in the 1 March unauthorized action of businessmen on Kastrychnitskaia Square in Minsk.

Maryna Bahdanovich had all of her household equipment and part of the furniture.

On 1 June the other property that belongs to Maryna Bahdanovich will be attached. She will still have to pay a fine of 150 basic units for taking part in the Chernobyl way. All in all, Maryna Bahdanovich is to pay about four and a half thousand dollars.

According to Ms Bahdanovich, after they confiscated all the property but her bed and her daughter’s, a table, a kitchen table and a small cupboard in the kitchen. All of the household equipment was estimated to be worth only 300 dollars.
Maryna Bahdanovich is not going to appeal against the attachment of the confiscated property. She does not have the money to pay the legal fees. Second, she does not believe the trial can be fair. Ms Maryna says that during the confiscation her daughter felt bad.

But the United Civil Party activist Maryna Bahdanovich remains optimistic. Today her daughter has left school and Maryna received a diploma as the best mother because her daughter is the best student in the grade.
