Criminal Cases Are Brought against Administration of Union of Poles

According to the information of the internal affairs board of Brest Regional Executive Committee, on 22 April the criminal case against Brest branch of the Union of Poles in Belarus Alina Iarashevich was brought. However, till now the informational department of the executive committee kept it in secret.

The reason for the criminal case was that during 2004 Mrs. Iarashevich allegedly received money from the parents whose children were taken to Poland for a rest. The criminal case was brought upon part 2 of Article #209 (swindling). The Union of Poles applied to the chair of KGB with the urge to stop persecution of Alina Iarashevich by law machinery.
