Journalists Detained in Hrodna
At 10.45 a.m. in Lenin Square in Hrodna the police detained journalists who protested against the interference of the authorities with the activity of Glos znad Niemna newspaper, founded by the Union of Poles of Belarus.
The picket lasted for several minutes only. Among the detainees there is the chief editor of the newspaper Andzhej Pisalnik, members of the editorial board Inesa Todryk, Ihar Bantsar, the chief editor of Magazyn Polski Andrei Pachobut and Salidarnasts correspondent Ivan Raman.
All the detainees were taken to Hrodna Leninski Borough Board of Internal Affairs. Andrei Pachobut managed to inform our correspondent the police composed on them reports for resistance to the police, participation in unauthorized picket and anti-sanitation (the picketers laid their belongings on the lawn near the place of the picket.
