UCP members will be brought before administrative court for a protest in Vaukavysk

This is the information provided by the Vaukavysk District Police Department, where Aliaxandr Baradaukin, the chair of the Vaukavysk branch of UCP, and a party member Vital Huliaieu, were taken on 30 August.
According to the UCP press service, on 27 August the party activists stages a protest against the interference of the Belarusian authorities into the affairs of the public organization "Union of Poles in Belarus". Several days before the congress the residents of Vaukavysk received fly sheets that assessed the situation around the Union of Poles and provided a chronology of the conflict between this organization and the Belarusian authorities.
The action attended by the local UCP activists started at 9 a.m. on 27 August after the congress delegates started to be registered. Young people with black strips around their arms formed a line outside the district house of culture in Vaukavysk, which hosted the congress. The black strips symbolized "burial" of the Union of Poles in Belarus's independence.
Aliaxandr Baradaukin and Vital Huliaieu were served notices that required them to be in court at 9 a.m. on 31 August. Representatives of the law enforcement agencies explained that all of the protester will be brought before court. They say they have a film which shows the UCP activists "urging overthrow of the government".
