"Ekamedservis" attempts re-registration
The Belarusian-US Center Ekamedservis-Invest contacted the Ministry of Health for a license. At the end of May the ministry deprived this company of the right to medical activity because of license requirements violations. The management of the medical center requests a new document for the Belarusian privately-owned company Ekamedservis without the participation of the US partner Invest, reported Radio Liberty.
The Ministry of Health council is to consider the medical center application one of these days. Why the management applies for registration without the US partner is not explained in Ekamedservis.
According to the center representative Natallia Kramniova, the management of the company hopes that it will receive a license and so continues the works on a new building for the center. Soon all of the four levels constructed will be commissioned.
The medical and technical staff are now on unpaid leave and ready to start work any time. The management of another privately-owned center Nordin also filed an application for a new license with the Ministry of Health. This company lost the license at the same time as Ekamedservis did and for the same reasons.
The management of the Nordin center does not provide any comments, but, according to some sources, this company may become co-owned by the government. According to Ms Kramniova, Ekamedservis plans to remain privately-owned.
