Valiantsina Kavienka, judge of Brest District Court, stopped consideration of the administrative case against Anatol Liabiedzka, leader of the United Civil Party, because of absence of corpus delicti.
He was summonsed to the court on accusation in unauthorized meeting in the settlement of Damachava that took place on 9 July. This assembly nominated delegates to the Congress of Democratic Forces. The police reported that Anatol Liabiedzka and Stanislau Shushkievich were among the assembly organizers. Shushkievich, however, didn’t come to the trial.
