Minsk City Procurator’s Office Warns Activists of National and Religious Minorities That Signed in Support of Anzhalika Borys
According to www.belngo.info
We should remind that on 6 August in Minsk there took place the assembly of representatives of German, Polish, Ukrainian, Romany and Tartarian diasporae, Catholic youth and Belarusian autocephalous church. They signed the appeal to Aliaksandr Lukashenka with the demand to “stop the lawless actions towards activist and leaders of the public association “Union of Poles in Belarus” and start a dialogue with the participation of the legal administration of the organization with Anzhalika Borys at the head”. The signers received no answer from Lukashenka’s administration. However, as it became known in the beginning of October, the procurator’s office started a check-up on the errand of the Committee on Religious and National Affairs with the aim to find whether the signers really represented the national minorities and religious organizations. On 11 October the signers were summonsed to Minsk City Procurator’s Office and read the “Official warning about the inadmissibility of violations of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On public associations”, signed by vice-procurator N. Siemizhon.
