Belarusian Poles Still Summonsed for Interrogations

The investigation of the criminal case against activists of the Union of Poles s is going on. Miechyslau Iaskievich, who used to be the chair of Hrodna city UPB branch under Anzhalika Borys’ presidency, was interrogated in Shchuchyn.

Let us remind the case was brought upon Article #185 of the Criminal Code (forcing to action by threats) on the appeal of Viktar Bohdan, director of the Polish House in Shchuchyn, who accused the journalists Andrei Pachobut and Andzhei Pisalnik and the officially unrecognized UPB vice-chairs Iuzaf Pazhetski and Vieslau Kieuliak in intimidation. Recently the police confronted them to Bogdan. Several days ago the regional procurator’s office prolonged the investigation for one more month.
