The upper slab of the memorial sign was torn away from the support structure and then thrown down onto the ground, where it lies split now.
More than ten crosses were broken in the place, tablets on the so-called "Polish cross" were damaged and on several other crosses. Icons were torn off many crosses. The icon of God's Mother of Kurapaty, painted by the painter Aliaxei Marachkin was defiled by vandals who had drawn a fascist swastika on it.
