Case on Intimidation of Head of Shchuchyn Polish House Passed on to Regional Police Board

Four members of the Union of Poles, Iuzaf Pazhetski, Vieslau Kieuliak and Andrei Pachobut are suspects on the criminal case concerning intimidation of Viktar Bohdan, head of the Polish House in Shchuchyn. The case upon Article 185 of the Criminal Code (providing punishment with up to two years of personal restraint) was brought after Mr. Bohdan complained to the procurator’s office. It is prohibited to the suspects to leave Belarus.

Shchuchyn investigator Andrei Zaloha explained that the case concerning the intimidation of Viktar Bohdan was taken by Hrodna Regional Board of Internal Affairs. Andzhei Pisalnik said it could happen because somebody didn’t want the case to be stopped (during the last confrontation with Pazhetski, Pachobut and Kieuliak Bohdan couldn’t explained how they “intimidated” him).
