Anton Filimonau’s Relatives Issue Open Note
According to BAJ press-service
Anton Filimonau (son of the murdered in 2004 journalist Veranika Charkasava) has been kept in the investigative isolator #1 in Minsk for more than a month already. There haven’t been conducted any investigative actions in the case of forged money. This is stated in the open note addressed to the public by the teenager’s grandfather Uladzimir Mialeshka and his grandmother Dyiana Charkasava.
They also emphasize that the under-aged Anton was one of the five youngsters who were detained and now only he is kept in the investigative isolator. During this time Anton Filimonau, who has ill kidneys and heart problems, has already lost about 7 kilos. According to medics, this can result in “irreversible consequences for his body and even in disability”. Besides, Anton’s relatives say the police admitted that in the investigative isolator Anton was visited by the persons who had no relation to investigation of the case about forged money.
