Zhodzina: Administration Finished Forming Polling Station Commissions

After the publication of the consistence of the election commissions of Zhodzina (that were formed in the conditions of especial secrecy) it became understandable that none of the candidacies that were nominated by collection of signatures without the preliminary agreement of the local authorities were included. On the other hand, each of the commissions has 13 persons, whereas the law allows 15 persons and there were only 313 candidacies for 23 commissions.

In addition, the sitting of Zhodzina City Executive Committee, at which the commissions were formed, was closed to the interested persons and candidates to the commissions, who applied to the authorities, asking them to admit them to it.

The procedure of the consideration of candidacies and the motivation of the taken decisions remains secret. The candidates to the election commissions have no possibility to familiarize with the minutes of the sitting with the aim to complain against the actions of the authorities.

The abovementioned facts constitute a gross violation of the Electoral Code on the stage of forming of election commissions.
