The reason for the detention became the attempt of the activists to place an electoral poster of the candidate to presidency Aliaksandr Milinkevich in shop #8 of the trading house Ekanom. Navapolatsk City Election Commission defined this shop as a place for putting agitation materials. However, when on 28 February the activists came in and asked where they could hang the poster, they were detained by the shop’s guards and passed to the police who drove them to a police station. After receiving explanations from Kramtsou and Trubkin, the policemen had to let them go. The activists intend to complain against these lawless actions to Navapolatsk City Election Commission.
