Aliaksandr Kazulin Applies to Procurator General Demanding to Punish Those Who Beat Him, Activists of His Headquarters and Journalists

The candidate to presidency Aliaksandr Kazulin applied to the Procurator General with the attached registration of the injuries he had received from the commandant of the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Dzmitry Paulichenka and his subordinates. He demands to bring a criminal case against these persons and punish them.

Aliaksandr Kazulin also paid a visit to Minsk Maskouski Borough Procurator’s Office, where he testified concerning the case of the yesterday’s shots of one of Pauliuchenka’s subordinates to the car that belonged to the activist of his electoral headquarters Iury Radzivil.

-- We presented to the procurator’s office the facts and the photos where everything could be clearly seen. The face of the person who used the pistol is seen. The use of firearms in peaceful time is a crime. And this crime must be punished with the utmost rigor of the law. But here the police are trying to find a way out of this extremely inconvenient situation, -- pointed Mr Kazulin.

It’s worth mentioning the shots in the car were made near the police station where Aliaksandr Kazulin was detained at the time. A criminal case for ‘insubordination to the police’ was brought against Iury Radzivil. As a result, the police detained Mr Radzivil.

The governments of the US, Lithuania, Austria and the European Union condemned the actions of the Belarusian authorities against Aliaksandr Kazulin, his activists and journalists of many mass media.
