Zhodzina: Human Rights Activist Aliaksei Lapitski again Complains to Zhodzina City Procurator’s Office and Zhodzina City Election Commission Due to Refusals of Authorities to Hang out Agitation Posters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich
The agitations posters weren’t hanged in the following places of Zhodzina:
 Tsentralny supermarket (directed by Tatsiana Zhylka);
 all hostels of the Belarusian Car Plant (directed by Mr Maryieu);
 Svitanak state enterprise (the prohibition was issued by the deputy chair on informational and ideological work Liudmila Marozava.
The authorities of the enlisted enterprises refused to hang the agitation in the hostels and on the windows, near the officious posters For Belarus! Meanwhile, the chair of Zhodzina City Executive Committee Vasil Hryshchanka, violating the legislation and his own directive #165 of 14 February 2006 about providing places for agitation materials in Zhodzina categorically refused to hang out Milinkevich’s posters in the building of the committee. He was upheld by the CEC deputy chair Uladzimir Siamashka. They explained to the activist Sviatlana Lapitskaia that in their ruling the name of the administrative building of the executive committee wasn’t mentioned (?). It is quite interesting that Zhodzina City Election Commission that is to control the execution of the electoral legislation in Zhodzina is situated in this very building.
That’s why in this situation the election commission demonstrates its functional uselessness or subordinated position in the electoral process, in which the main role is played by the local authorities that also act as the agitation crew of the candidate to the presidential position Aliaksandr Lukashenka.
