Asipovichy: Deputy Chair of Asipovichy District BPF Branch Sentenced to 10 Days of Jail for Hooliganism

The activist of Asipovichy district headquarters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich and the deputy chair of Asipovichy district branch of the BPF Party Ihar Simbirou was detained in the train on the way home. Before 11 March he worker in Moscow and Minsk and also took part in the electoral campaign of Aliaksandr Milinkevich. The week before he decided to return home and was detained.
The policemen stated that he had started a fight in the train and was sentenced to 10 days of jail for it. Mr Simbirou didn’t take the blame. According to him, the police looked for the money for the agitation campaign in his belongings, but only found several disks with Milinkevich’s speeches and stickers with his face. Ihar Simbirou managed to phone his friends and say he was being beaten and intimidated. Then the talk ended up. From the police station the detainee was taken to a court that sentenced him to 10 days of jail.
The police also paid interest to the activity of the head of Horki district headquarters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich Eduard Brokarau. On 12 March they searched his flat and confiscated all fly-sheets and booklets of Milinkevich that were printed for the money that was officially issued by the Central Election Committee. They also drove Mr Brokarau to a police station for a ‘prophylactic talk’.
