Minsk Tsentralny Borough Court Sentences Zubr Activist to 15 Days of Jail
On 13 March Minsk Maskouski Borough Court considered the case against the activist of the Zubr movement Aliaksei Liaukovich that was brought as a result of the police report under article 156 of the Code of Administrative Violations (petty hooliganism).
On 10 March three persons in plain clothes detained Mr Liaukovich out in a street. They took him to the detention center, where he was kept during the weekend. The same day there was detained the activist of Zubr Pavel Iukhnevich. He felt bad at the detention center and was transferred to hospital.
On 12 March the activists of Zubr Aleh Labaty and Maksim Viniarski were detained.
It leads us to the conclusion the authorities have started a campaign on massive preventive detentions on the eve of 19 March.
