Smolensk Printing House Breaks Contracts with Belarusian Newspapers BDG. Delovaya Gazeta, Narodnaia Volia and Tovarishch

The non-state newspapers BDG.Delovaya gazeta, Narodnaia volia and Tovarish used to be handed out for free all over the country. They published the electoral programs of the candidates to the presidential position Aliaksandr Milinkevich and Aliaksandr Kazulin. The official reason for the cancellation of the contracts for printing of the Belarusian newspapers is the overload of the printing house.

Siarhei Vazniak, chief editor of the newspaper Tovarishch, said it was just a pretext. ‘The Russian government must have found the ways to pressurize the printing house in Smolensk. We will sue it to the Economic Court of the Russian Federation. Now we are looking for another printing house. Most probably, it will be situated neither in Russia, nor in Belarus,’ stated Mr Vazniak.
