Homel Savetski Borough Court Sentences Siarhei Siamionau to 10 Days of Jail

According to the human rights activist Anatol Paplauny, on 14 March Homel Savetski Borough Court sentenced the public activist Siarhei Siamionau to 10 days of jail. The reason was that the chair of the ideological department of Homel Regional Executive Committee Anatol Katsila complained to the court, because S.Siamionau allegedly insulted him during the meeting with the candidate to presidency Aliaksandr Kazulin.

In the morning of 14 March the police detained Mr Siamionau at his working place and took him to the court. The trial lasted for 10 minutes. The verdict was announced by the judge Aliaksei Kostrykau.
