Brest: Chair of Brest Regional Headquarters of A.Milinkevich Iury Hubarevich Released

On 15 March in Brest the police detained the chair of Brest regional electoral headquarters of the candidate to the presidential position Aliaksandr Milinkevich Iury Hubarevich for ‘violation of the traffic rules’. Describing the circumstances of the detention Mr Hubarevich said the police tried to grab his Dictaphone, provoked him to resistance (violation of article 166 of the Code of Administrative Violations that is punished with administrative arrest).

According to Mr Hubarevich, he was released first of all thanks to the presence of representatives of the OSCE mission who witnessed the absence of corpus of delicti in his actions.

P.S.: the chair of the headquarters doesn’t rule out the possibility of further provocations against him.
