On 17 March in the center of Brest the police detained the human rights activist Uladzimir Vialichkin. After the detention the police put on his head a black bag. They drove them in their car all over the center of the city for up to two hours, insulted and intimidated him. They confiscated his photo camera and destroyed all the photos that concerned detentions of agitators for Milinkevich. Then they took Mr Vialichkin to court. The court sentenced him to 5 days of jail for alleged violation of article 156 of the Code of Administrative Violations (petty hooliganism). At the trial the police witnesses said he used foul expressions towards the Minister of Interior Uladzimir Navumau.
