Administrative Commission of Minsk Pershamaiski Borough Executive Committee Considers Cases against Under Aged Participants of Tent Camp
According to RFE/RL
On 7 April the administrative commission of Minsk Pershamaiski Borough Executive Committee considered the administrative cases against under aged participants of the tent camp in Kastrychnitskaia Square of Minsk. The children’s parents received warnings. The parents and the children consider themselves innocent.
The pupil Iauhenia Karona was detained at night of 24 March, during the assault of the tent camp by the riot police. She was summonsed to the administrative commission together with her mother. However, the girl was ill, that’s why Tamara Karona came to the court alone. She cried when recollecting what happened at the commission sitting - the police and the school master on educational work reproached her saying she was a bad mother.
Halina Iaromina also received a warning for her 17-year-old son Danila Iaromin. She said she respects his choice. Danila doesn’t take the blame either: ‘It is a mere formality, that didn’t change my attitude towards the events in which I took part’, he said.
The commission on cases of minors considered dozens of cases, including the cases that were brought against the under aged persons who were detained by the police during the agitation campaign. Zmitser Karpovich came to the commission together with his son, who was accused of distribution of flyers with agitation for Aliaksandr Milinkevich. He doesn’t understand what his son is guilty of - he was detained on 18 March, when agitation was permitted. Nevertheless, the commission members said his son would be introduced into the registers of KGB and the commission.
