Brest: Youth Activists Hold Flash-mobs

On 8 April in Brest youth activists held two flash-mobs. One of them was devoted to the inauguration of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, and the other - the Russia’s demand to Belarusian authorities to sell Beltransgas. At 12 a.m. above the central entrance of the market in Pushkinskaia St the youth hanged Lukashenka’s portrait. People with alarm clocks started to come to it from different directions. Accompanied with ringing of alarm clocks they cried: ‘It’s twelve already!!! Enough! Go away! You time has ended!’ When people removed the portrait and put it into a black litter bag, not only several dozens of the flash-mob participants, but also many passers-by clapped their hands.
An hour later 20 persons carried along Savetskaia and Pushkinskaia streets a large self-made tube from paper (about 10 meters long) with the inscriptions Beltransgas and We Won’t Give it to You!. Near the Russian consulate the youth teased Russians with the tube, but didn’t leave Beltransgas to them. The police detained only the photographer who filmed the action and removed the film from his camera.
