Minsk Savetski Borough Procurator’s Office Warns Deputy Chair of United Civil Party Liudmila Hraznova about Possible Punishment for ‘Knowingly False Delation’
The investigator of Minsk Savetski Borough Procurator’s Office Aliaksandr Ahafonau asked Liudmila Hraznova to give written explanations concerning her interview to the web-site of the public association Charter’97 in which she said that the results of the presidential election in Belarus was grossly falsified and participants of the peaceful protest action against this falsification were beaten and arrested. The investigator asked L.Hraznova to provide evidence of the election falsification, mass arrests and beatings. She referred to the information available at many informational web-sites and independent mass-media.
In her interview to RFE/RL Liudmila Hraznova expressed the opinion that she was summonsed to the procurator’s office for intimidation: ‘On the eve of Chernobyl Way and mass actions they used this tried method to intimidate politicians’. The investigator warned Hraznova that there could be initiated criminal proceedings against her for ‘knowingly false delation’.
