Baranavichy KGB Board Brought Criminal Case against Leader of Young Front Siarhei Marchyk

On 10 March Baranavichy City KGB Board brought a criminal case against one of the Young Front leaders Siarhei Marchyk for activity on behalf of unregistered organization (article 193-1 of the Criminal Code). On 13 April the investigative organs searched the flats of Siarhei Marchyk, Andrei Iuruts and Viktar Kisliuk. They confiscated materials related to Young Front, democratic editions and computer appliances. At present Iuruts and Kisliuk are considered as witnesses on this criminal case.

In connection with the unprecedented wave of legal harassment of activists of Young Front its leaders urge all members of the democratic movement of Belarus and politically active people to sign the appeal to the authorities with the demand to urgently stop the pressurization of the democratic activists and stated that the organization was by no means going to stop its activity.
