The government of Estonia decided to pay for studies and residence in Estonia to ten students, who were expelled from higher educational establishments of Belarus for political reasons. The government decided to issue about 164 000 crones (10 000 US dollars) to pay for each student.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Urmas Paet it was very important and fair that the Belarusian officials that have relation to violations of democratic norms had been banned entrance to the EU countries.
