Hrodna officials invented a new way of psychological pressure on local social and political figures - military service.
Earlier on important social events in the town or in the capital non-state organizations leaders have been called to the Office of Public Prosecutor or to police departments in the appropriate day and time. Now a local military registration and enlistment office is being engaged in the case of "neutralizing the militants". Many of the "unreliable" persons got notices of appointment to be in a local military registration and enlistment office on April, 26 for collating the data. The addressees also got extracts from the criminal code and administrative code. Among the recipients of the notices are the activist of the trade union movement Ian Roman, deputy chairman of Educational Civil Union "Fond imia Lva Sapehi" Uladzimir Khilmanovich, delegate of Hrodne city council Siarhei Antusevich, a friend of Hrodno BNF council Maksim Hubarevich, a human rights fighter Victar Sazonau. No one knows what else is prepared for the Hrodno activists before "Charnobylski Shliakh". One is clear - the government prosecutes people according to their political believes and tries to frighten them lubberly.
