The Swedish Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights congratulates Human Rights center Viasna on the 10 year anniversary.
Dear Viasna people!
April 26 is a sad day for many people. The Chernobyl accidence had become one of the fiercest events in the 20th century.
But April 26 is also the day of hope for democratic Belarus, as this is the day 10 years ago the Human Rights center Viasna, the most important human rights organization in today’s Belarus, was established.
On the one hand it’s a pity human rights job is needed. Especially it’s a pity that the human rights situation is so serious in Belarus today.
On the other hand it’s great that the best people now do that job. And these people are the activists of Viasna!
We are glad to have an opportunity to cooperate with you for so many years.
This message is aimed at congratulating you, Viasna, on your birthday. We send you best wishes and hope to meet productively in future.
