Salihorsk activist fined BYR 930,000 for participating in an unauthorized action
On June 14 Aliaksei Valabueu together with Young Front members Illia and Ivan Shyla were standing in the center of Salihorsk with a banner Buy salt help Belaruskaliy. The boys were offering the passers-by to buy the salt, which they had purchased in a shop. The actions aim was to attract attention to the problems of one of the largest enterprises of Belarus Belaruskaliy which stopped functioning due to economic reasons.
On June 15 Ivan Shyla and Iauhen Miadzvedzeu were standing opposite Salihorsk Town Court with a banner Freedom to Valabueu! Miadzvedzeu was beaten as he was arrested, after that he was taken to hospital. Ivan Shyla was charged with organizing an unauthorized picket. On the same day he had a conversation with the head of Salihorsk police Uladzimir Zakharchuk. He is very anxious about a social-oriented action connected with Belaruskaliy. As well as about my actions, for which my parents will be fined BYR 620,000, said Shyla.
